My body seems to have a mind of its own lately. Swollen, bloated, and my pants don’t want to zip or button anymore. Not to mention, whose new set of ta-ta’s are these? Invest in a Bellaband

This stretchy tube of fabric is not a tube top, dear. This band is intended to smooth and keep pants from bunching when unbuttoned jeans or pants and/or offer more coverage for pants. (Here’s to no thong showing!) You can pick up a Bellaband at maternity retailers all over and they are quite inexpensive and really make your pre-pregnancy clothes stretch further!

Go for dark denim

The first thing to go out the proverbial window for most new moms is their jeans. Let’s face it: we wear jeans quite often and while the belly band can help stretch (literally) you further through your pregnancy, there will be a time that you have to break down and buy some maternity jeans.

Get a comfortable pair of leggings that last

Leggings are like a wrap dress — you can dress them up or down. They are can be paired with a funky sweater or long tunic blouse and heels. Also, leggings are super versatile and come in different prints and colors too. So while you grab a pair of black ones, don’t hesitate to pick up a pop of color or print! Remember to get a quality fabric that has some give and will grow with you.
