What’s Baby’s Astrological Sign?
If you’ve got a little ram, you’ll need a lot of energy to keep up with him. “Your baby is going to keep you on your toes,” says Oliver. “Aries babies are very adventurous. You’ll need to baby-proof your house very well because they’re very mobile and love to roam all over the place.”
Taurus babies are known to be a little stubborn. But that’s just because they like consistency. “They get fussy when their routines are broken,” Oliver explains. “A good trick is to help them get naps at regular times each day.” You can also make sure your Taurus baby has a set feeding routine and playtime routine.
“Introduce your baby to baby sign language, because they get frustrated if they can’t communicate,” Oliver says. Gemini babies love to learn, and they’re like sponges, so make sure you foster their intelligence by playing word games or thinking games with them.
Cancer babies are very sensitive, which is important to keep in mind when you’re bonding with your baby. “They’re going to have a very strong bond with mom, and they need to spend a lot of quality time with her,” says Oliver. “Don’t be afraid to let them be a mama’s boy or girl. It’s okay to indulge them.” Also, cancer babies are homebodies, so you’ll want to spend plenty of time with baby around the house. Make sure you create a peaceful household and avoid whisking baby from place to place too much.
You have a smiley baby! Leo babies have a good sense of humor and the best smiles. “They’re the baby that everyone is drawn to,” says Oliver. “Play with your Leo baby a lot — have a running joke with her or experiment with what makes her laugh. Take her to a music class or get her a drum, tambourine or maraca. They love music.”
Like Taurus babies, Virgos need routine and they like things a certain way. “Virgo babies are always paying attention and always trying to figure things out,” says Oliver. “So when you’re doing something, explain it to them. Walk them through it so they’re prepared, because they want to know what’s coming up.”
Libras are the social butterflies of the zodiac. They love to make friends. “Get them involved with a mommy-and-me playgroup and expose them to other babies at a young age,” Oliver recommends. “Allow them to test out their sociability.”
Scorpios are known to be intense, so they do everything with a lot of drive. “Everything they do, they do it with gusto. They’re very intense with their emotions,” says Oliver. So that means when baby is feeling fussy, he’ll really let you know. “When they’re on the changing table or doing something where they’re exposed to something new, they’re likely to get fussy. Make eye contact with them so that they stay grounded and connected to you,” she recommends.
Sagittarius babies always want to do something — they can’t sit still. “They enjoy going on little road trips or going to the park and getting some fresh air,” says Oliver. “Don’t keep them at home all day, because they want adventure. They want to learn things experientially.” Also, since baby’s really active, make sure she’s careful around your pets — she’ll be really attracted to them. You’ll have to monitor it so baby and pet both get along.
Capricorn babies are very advanced mentally, and they’re achievers. “They want to do things before other babies do, like crawling or talking,” says Oliver. “They can get frustrated if their physical development hasn’t caught up with their mental development. So encourage them to make those big leaps, but be patient when they’re frustrated.”
Aquarius babies are spontaneous — you never know what to expect with them. “You’ll be surprised at the things that make them laugh. They always do things that are unexpected,” says Oliver. “They may like different foods or march to the beat of their own drum in other ways.” Make sure you encourage and foster their individuality. If they want to play with a certain toy that’s unexpected, let them do it.
“Pisces babies are dreamers,” says Oliver. “Play soft music and read to them a lot.” Pisces babies are great sleepers. Create a soothing mood for them with a white noise machine, or decorate with an ocean theme in the nursery.
