I wanted my daughter to have a girly room that was not pink. I started with a purple base and was inspired by the whimsical nature of dragonflies and fireflies. I liked the idea of letting her dreams float around with them while she slept. I also wanted her room to feel like she was in her own secret meadow with these magical friends. The mural was painted freehand.
