I just want to give Jenna Dewan-Tatum a hug, you guys. The mama-to-be posed for the cover of Glamour's May issue and spilled the beans on where she and husband Channing Tatum are getting their parenting advice and I swear — this girl is so honest and real it's like a sip of a cold water. It's that refreshing, y'all.
Speaking candidly to the magazine, the expectant (and adorable!) actress said that her husband has been nothing but supportive throughout her pregnancy so far. "Channing has been great," she said. "He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, 'Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I'm going to leave it up to you.'" Um, swoon! Remember when Channing said that he thought his wife's pregnancy was the sexiest thing ever? Gollllyyyyy! 'Twas the best day of ever, basically. So, it's no surprise that the daddy-to-be has been constantly supportive and positive throughout her pregnancy.
And mama-to-be wasn't shy about admitting where the duo are getting their parenting advice from. She joked, "We have two dogs, so we've had some practice!" She also went on to admit that, "Who knows what kind of parents we'll be? As soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast." She added, "I think, 'How in the world am I going to do all this?' I have no idea what I’m up against. But I’m as mentally prepared as I can be. It’s an adventure!"
There's nothing more lovable than a down-to-earth and honest celebrity. I love that Jenna is secure with her instincts and those of her partner. She sounds like a woman who has no reservations about her capabilities as a parent. Sure, there will be bumps along the road and chances are they'll have their fair share of struggles and successes, but guess what? That's parenting. And when push comes to shove, Jenna's right — they're figure it out real fast. It's what we all do.
How did you prep for parenthood? Can you relate to what Jenna says?
