Daddy-to-be Josh Duhamel might be ready to report for diaper duty, but the star wasn't quite ready for how his wife's first sonogram would made him feel.
At a press event for his upcoming film Safe Haven, the heartthrob told Yahoo, "Seeing that ultrasound is unlike anything you've ever seen. You're like, 'Wow, it's mine.'" Aw! Josh! Come here, let me give you a hug! Even though his baby with wife, Fergie , will be the couple's first, dad-to-be has no doubts he's ready to take on his latest role.
He said, "I think that I’ve always had an affinity for kids. There’s something about me and kids that just clicks," he told reporters. (And I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Josh and those sparkling good looks will click with just about anything, but that's besides the point.) It's absolutely adorable how excited (and ready) Duhamel is to be dad to a baby girl or boy. The couple wed in 2009 and since then, they've hinted that kids will come when they're ready for them.
And, if you're wondering where Josh got his hands-on experience, you don't have to look very far. "I don’t know if it’s because I am a kid, but it does prepare you whenever you’re around them,” he said, "I’ve got nieces and nephews and all my friends have kids. All that stuff is a learning experience for when it actually happens, but I don’t think you’re ever truly prepared until it’s your own." Totally agree!
