Check the tags on those infant and toddler jeans, mom and dad. This morning the CPSC and Meijer Distribution announced a voluntary recall of the Falls Creek Kids infant and toddler denim jeans. The snap on the front of the infant and toddler denim may come loose and separate from the fabric, posing a choking hazard to young children. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
140,500 pairs of the denim jean are currently on the recall list. The product has been exclusively sold at Meijer and HEB stores nationwide from June 2012 through November 2012. The jeans are denim with or without a pink star or heart graphic design stitched on the outside front and back of the jeans. A label on the inside of the jean near the front left pocket includes the date of the recalled production: 04/2012 and the production location: Zhangjiagang, China. Falls Creek Kids infant jeans with production code 4/2012 in sizes 0-3 mos, 3-6 mos or 6-9 mos. printed on a label on the inside of the back waistband are not included in the recall.
