Hi Dora, I was just reading the boards, being a newly pregnant Mom myself when I saw your post about your Methadone concern. I'm a nurse so I felt I had to say something in hopes of giving you a little peace. You need to calm down, relax, and trust your doctor about this issue. Keep taking your meds and de-stress as much as possible. Your stress can cause your sickle cells to activate ultimately so this is very important. You and I both are high risk because of previous issues and we're going to worry. I'm sure you know this already but take it easy. It's ultimately the best thing for your baby right now. After all, if it wasn't this, you'd be worrying about something else, like vomiting too much, too little, your back, breasts, head etc. =) Good luck.
