Justin & Kelly
I met my husband in high school when I was in the ninth grade. He was a well-rounded individual, with a robust personality. Unfortunately, I had a bigger crush on his best friend, so when he asked me out I told him no! Two years later, he bugged me to wear his football jersey at his games, and the rest is history. We have been together for about six and a half years, and were married on my parents farm last summer in August (married for 6 months). We had a great wedding outdoors, and were accompanied by a perfect sunny day. I work as a Veterinary Technician a few miles away from home, and Justin is a high school Physics, and Science Teacher. We are very excited to announce our pregnancy, but have reason to wait a little longer until we know everything seems right. Last April, almost a year ago, I went to the hospital in severe abdominal pain. I thought I was going through appendicitis. After a few tests, the Doctor came into my room and announced to Justin and I, that we were pregnant. We were in complete shock, but were relieved that we had each other. We weren't quite ready for this news, but after a few moments, it began to sink in, and we decided to go with it, and take it as a blessing. After my ultra-sound, the Doctor noticed I had internal bleeding, and concluded I was probably having an ectopic pregnancy. I was rushed by ambulance to a hospital about an hour away and was taken into surgery. Everything happened really fast, and it was hard to comprehend everything. After I was discharged from the hospital, we had some time to compose ourselves and realize what happened. We were a bit disappointed, but believe everything happens for a reason, and it just wasn't our time. We were only engaged, and had a wedding four months away. I would have chosen to have a healthy baby despite our circumstance, but it didn't happen that way. It is now the end of March and I took a positive pregnancy test about 4 days ago, and it was confirmed with my hcg test a couple days ago! We pray that this pregnancy is healthy, because we are more than ready to become parents!
