Love you Forever Love you for always, Forever my baby you'll be

About US: I am a small town girl who met an all out country boy. We got engaged on Novemeber 3 2007, while my hubby (to be) was working in the remote gaspe Quebec. In 2009 I decided to go back to school at Fanshawe college, for Developmental Service worker. In February 2010 we found out we were pregnant with our little suprise. We stayed team green through out our pregnancy and on September 15 2010 we met our little Girl Adele Viola W------ for the very first time. Adele is all me on the outside but all her Dad on the inside. She has a German attitude that should be interesting to see in the teenage years. She is full of smiles and makes everyday so much more special. She is the best thing to ever happen to us. I am staying home with her, for a year or two, and then going back to school to finish my program. Although my fiancee and I never got married, we have FINALLY set a date for Sept 1 2012 (only took us a baby to hurry us up). Adele Viola's Birth Story:(long) On September 13th I sat relaxing, bumping and facebooking on my computer. I had worked all the way up to 38 weeks, and was now enjoying my second day of pregnancy retirement. I simply changed my sitting position, when a sudden small gush of water came out. At first I was positive my water had leaked, but after a few hours of waiting and bumping... nothing else came. I finally texted my fiancee and told him the situation, he told me to call the nurses at delivery and see what they suggested. So I phoned them up and they said to come in and get checked. It takes hubby about an hour to get home, so I packed up all of our stuff and had it ready to go. After that its another 2 hours to delivery (thank goodness I wasnt in labour). I made my hubby stop at a fast food restraunt to get some food because I was famished and I knew they wouldnt let me eat if I was having the baby then. They phoned us again (sounding a bit annoyed) asking if we were still comming in. We arrived there and they checked me out, sure enough I had a high tear in my water that was closed only by the babies head. They told me to go back home and if I even had the slightest dampness in the morning to come back in (SIGH) back we went home ... another 2 hours home. In the morning I checked and sure enough I was damp. So we got ready and headed back... stopping at a delicious bakery (yum, you cant keep a pregnant women away from food). When we arrived they took me to a beautiful room with a big screen and all (hubby said it was like a vacation for him). At 8am they started my induction, everything was moving along smoothly. My contractions were barable but working. I had to go pee and when I came out a nurse ran in a announced we had to stop the induction, because another woman came in in labour and there was now more women labouring then there was nurses. So we waited and we waited and we watched ALOT of CSI. Finally around 7pm they restarted my induction.. This time the contractions were faster and more painful. Worst of all they werent doing anything. They upped the induction medication past the reccomended ammount, and suddenly the babies heart rate started going crazy. They tried putting me on my side andthe babies heart beat went down but my contractions stopped. The head nurse came in to check me and "accidentally" broke my water... It didnt feel like an accident to me. After my water broke the pain was so immense. I asked for some morphine. WORST CHOICE EVERRRR!!!! I was in sooo much pain, but could not stay awake between contractions. My body would relax and the jolt awake from the pain. Although I was in a ton of pain, I kept telling myself that with each contraction I was that much closer to seeing my baby.... so you can imagine my alarm when the nurse checked me and I had not made any progress at all. I can be a bit proud, sometimes and it was very hard for me to admit defeat, but when all the nurses left the room for a minute, I looked at my Hubby and broke down. I was in so much pain and It wasnt making any difference. When the nurse came in hubby told them he thought I wanted the epidural.. they asked me if thats what I wanted and I said "I think so" and the nurse sighed and asked if "I knew so" and I finallly admitted the pain was too much. About a half an hour later they had me all set up and ready to go for the epidural. I was still so drugged up that everything was very disorienting, not to mention exhausted from hours and hours of labour. The first two times they tried putting the epidural in my one leg jumped uncontrollable in the air.. it felt like someone had hooked up booster cables to my leg. Finally they got it in. Things happened very fast after that. I heard several beeping sounds, people were shoving me down and strapping me down and putting a mask on my face... the last thing I remember was my hubbies terrified face and the doctor looking at him saying, you should prepare yourself for an emergency c-section.... ----- then for an hour I was gone, in lala la land---- I woke up in the same room, hubby passed out on the pull out bed, I looked down at my tummy and to my relief the mound was still there. They quickly explained that both the baby and I didnt take kindly to the epidural, my heart rate and blood preasure went wacky as did the babies, but they were able to stabalize us both. The nurse decided that it was time for me to be checked... and immediately the room was busy again. "Hope your ready to meet your baby because hes comming now" (not sure why the nurse kept calling our baby a he when we were totally team green) She phoned the doctor who was doing check ups with patients a floor away and said "hope your wearing running shoes because we need you here now". She let me do a few practice pushes and then said that we better stop unless we wanted to deliver the baby without the doctor. It was so relaxed it was crazy. When the doctor got there he was cracking jokes and telling stories in between pushes. 20 mins later we were delivering our baby. they brought it too my chest and I called out, "what is it? boy or girl?" and they turned the baby around and there she was our little girl, just what my hubby had secretly been hoping for. 7lb 7oz Adele Viola W, was laid on my chest looking right at me with her wide open eyes. I fell in love a hundred times over with that little girl. Born: Sept 15 2010 @ 11:53 Weight: 7lb 7oz
