Bump Newcomer

I had never really been around a pregnant woman until I was 23! Honestly, I have always been petrified at the thought of being a mother. But a year ago I got engaged and happily, my fiance has opened my eyes to a side of being a parent that I wasn't familiar with. I am warming up to the idea. This is my effort to make sure that I have an open and clear mind about taking on such a responsibility. I feel that it is very important to be able to make the choice of becoming a mother without previous notions; after all, this is the biggest life changing choice a woman can make and it deserves careful consideration without jaded ideas or prespectives. So far I have found the ladies on this site to be particularly understanding that I am not yet a mother, but that I am giving it serious thought and have looked to them for advice and honesty which I appreciate tremendously. I have also found the articles on this site to be straight forward which is hard to find when it comes to pregnancy. Thanks to TheBump, I have learned all sorts of things that I may not have ever known about such a beautiful process.
