Expecting our first baby!
I'm pregnant?!
Ok, so I have to admit that this wasn't the original pregnancy test, but rather the fourth one I took before going to the doctor to confirm. I just couldn't believe it! This was a total surprise, but a good one! Shane and I are extremely excited and can't wait to meet our first little baby! :)
4 Weeks!
The bloating is unbelievable. I made sure to take this picture when I wasn't bloated so it was pretty accurate. This is as close to a "before" photo as I have - although I'm still a bit larger in this photo than normal. I'm wondering if I'll show early because I'm so tiny. We'll see...
6 Weeks!
Is it just me or does it seem like in two weeks I have gotten a bit more of a bump although it is still not noticeable in MOST of my clothes, except right after I eat. The bloating makes me look like I'm about 7 months pregnant. I'm so excited for our next ultrasound - we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat!
8 Weeks!
Starting to feel pretty nauseated all the time and am really tired. Getting out of bed and making it to work on time are two things that are becoming difficult.
8 Week Ultrasound!
We had an 8-week ultrasound to determine the due date. Our baby is due January 3, 2011. We are hoping for January 2 because that is my grandpa's birthday. :) We are pretty sure we are naming the baby after my grandpa (if it is a boy) so it would be pretty fitting to have him born on his namesake's birthday. Also - Shane's mom (Cheri) thinks the baby looks like a turtle so we now call the baby Franklin after Franklin the turtle. :)
10 Weeks!
I've been feeling so sick and have not had the energy to do much of anything. I have been falling asleep on the couch shortly after I get home from work. I feel useless! :(
12 Weeks!
I am starting to feel a little bit better. Still not much energy, but I feel like it will be coming back soon - at least that's what everything I'm reading says! Let's hope that's true!
14 Weeks!
I keep doing really stupid things and my belly feels sore...maybe because it is getting so freaking big!
16 Weeks!
I'm glad we took pictures from my side that shows my tattoo...it shows how much I've grown. My belly is usually not past my tattoo at all and now it is pretty far past it. I've been having headaches like crazy! :(
18 Weeks!
I have been having horrible cramps...round ligament pain according to my doctor. Not exactly the greatest feeling in the world. I just bought my tickets to Ohio! I can't wait to see my family! :) I have been having horrible headaches too. My energy levels come and go, but overall the second trimester is much better than the first.

Remaining Prego Blog
20 weeks - I can't post anymore content in the other section - so I'll have to post things here. I felt the baby kick for the first time Sunday night. It was AMAZING! Two more weeks and we find out that baby's sex!! :) YAY!
22 weeks - I'm really starting to pop out now. My skin feels super stretched...hoping and praying I don't end up with stretch marks. We'll see..he'll be worth it either way.
It's a boy! :) His name will be Preston Thomas Brown. He made damn sure we knew he was a little boy.
Baby Preston
This one is my absolute favorite...he looks like Nicky....or really like my papaw. Fitting seeing as he's due around Papaw's birthday and we're naming him after him. Miss and love you papaw...wish you were here to meet our little man.
24 weeks! I'm almost in my third trimester...I feel great lately and have been trying to get the nursery ready for the baby. I'll attach a photo of that soon. :)
26 weeks! I feel like I weigh entirely too much right now - waiting for my belly button to pop out! Going to Ohio soon to see my family - can't wait!
28 weeks! WOW - getting big! The trip to Ohio was nice. The baby shower my Aunt Penny threw for us was beautiful! Can't wait to go back so everyone can meet Preston!
More prego photos
30 weeks... just had my baby shower this past weekend. We got a ton of stuff! Preston is going to be a spoiled little boy. We had another ultrasound to make sure his heart was developing well. We got some more 3D photos. I'll post them soon.
32 weeks...just finished our maternity photos this morning. I'm really excited to see them! :) Can't wait for Mr. Preston...pregnancy is horribly uncomfortable at this point. Still need to post his 3D ultrasound photos...
34 weeks...starting to get moody and even more uncomfortable...
36 weeks...the past two weeks have been pretty rough. I am having trouble controlling my mood and am getting very stressed out at work...can't wait to meet my baby boy and take time off from work to get to know him! :)
