Our Journey
My name is Kathia...everyone calls me Kat. I'm 31 years old and been married for 6 years. I have known my husband for 9 years. We planned on having a long engagement since he was in the Air Force. So we did:) We talked about having a family after one yr or two and couldn't seem to work out that way. After Five years have passed I was deffinately getting worried and started seeking for proper care, advise, and treatment. About 3 years about ago we found out my fallopian tubes well just one wasn't doing it's job so by the age of 28 I had bilateral tubes removed, no babies and it was devastating. Of course I had to seem to everyone this was not the end of having a family. Which it wasn't... About one year and a half my nurse that I work for advised me to see this Doc that specializes in IVF, so we did..made an appt. After our second attempt of trying, months and months of daily shots which believe me they are very painful, frusturating, soreness to the area, and worth everything to have a family. I'm sooooo exited to say Im pregnant with twins B/G...just turned 22 weeks and feel very blessed knowing I wasn't alone in this. My family has been very very supported and my husband that was stuck on my side day by day and night by night. Can't wait to meet our lil bundles. It has been a Journey but a good one waiting for.
