My husband (39) and I (38) have been together 11 years, married 6+ years and we were expecting our first child in May but that all changed.... Our LO arrived on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:56 pm via emergency caesarean because I was diagnosed with preeclampsia earlier that morning. Thank goodness DH brought the video camera because we both ‘missed’ the birth but a medical student videotaped the birth for us so we do have a keepsake (it’s pretty amazing). I can’t believe that she was born 23 days early and still came in at 6 pounds 1oz and 20 inches. My parents already have two granddaughters but have been waiting patiently for us to have a child of our own. My in-laws only have 1 son so they will be grandparents in-training.
