Baby Ryan
In early January 2011, my boyfriend and I were given quite a surprise when we found out we were going to be parents! At first, it was almost too much to take in and accept, but we both have very supportive families and a great group of friends who helped us become more excited. I love to feel my little boy wiggle around and kick inside my tummy and I can't wait to meet him!!

I'm 37 weeks and things are moving along wonderfully! I may actually get the chance to meet my little guy a little earlier than expected!! We had another ultrasound at about 34 weeks and my doctor's exact words, "So, are you trying to set some sort of state record?" He was referring to how big Ryan is haha! He is in the 96th percentile as far as height and weight go. So, the doctor scheduled another ultrasound for 37 weeks (this Friday) to see how much bigger the baby has gotten and depending on his size, my doctor and I will discuss inducing labor early. Luckily, I'm noticing more and more B&H contractions and I've been trying to walk as much as possible (it's pretty hard with these sore and giant Shrek feet of mine!) I'm really excited about how close everything is and how soon Sam and I will get to meet our baby boy!!!

I'm 40 weeks 2 days and hopefully Ryan will be making his debut any day now! My body isn't acting like it's ready (only 1cm dilated) and in case I don't make anymore progress, my doctor has scheduled an induction. I'll be admitted to the hospital Monday the 26th to start Cervidil and then early Tuesday morning start Pitocin. I'm nervous, but more than that I'm excited to hold my baby and see his little face! Can't wait!!
