My pregnancy roller coaster...

Brian and I were engaged on 12/24/09, I immediately got to work on planning our wedding. Our wedding was booked and paid for we are getting Married on May 21, 2011! On 8/06/10 (9 months and 15 days before our wedding) Brian was convinced that I was pregnant. He asked that I take a pregnancy test before we went out for the night. I did and I got a BFP!!!!!! At first I was scared and totally freaked out. Now I just can't wait for my little princess to arrive! This has been a rough pregnancy and has had me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. In September after we had made the announcment to our families we had quite a scare. I started bleeding heavily with cramping and low back pain. The doctor had me go to the hospital right away. While I was waiting for the doctor to perform an ultrasound all I could do was hope and pray that my baby was OK. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. Luckily our baby was fine she was moving like crazy and had a good strong heart beat. Brian and I were excited about our little miracle baby. Fast foward to 5 months pregnant... Brian and I were so excited to have our anatomy ultra sound. We had agreed to find out the sex of our baby. Unfortunately she did not want us to know. We had an appt with our doctor immediately following the ultrasound. My doctor told me that my cervix was short and that I needed to be put on bed rest. I did as I was told and luckily we have great families. Everybody was very supportive and helpful while I was laid up. My boss on the other hand was a heartless bitch... she fired me 2 weeks after being out. So now I am considered a high risk pregnancy and had NO health insurance and NO job. I thought things couldn't get any worse. Again I was lucky to have such a great support system with my family. Everybody helped me out and my dad paid for me to have health insurance until I could get some state assistance. We go for a few more ultrasounds due to the short cervix and lack of cooperation from my baby. 3 ultrasounds later we determine it's a girl!!!! Again our high was followed by another low... the doctor told me I needed to be seen by another specialist b/c she only has 1 kidney. Luckily her right kidney is functioning perfectly fine and there is no need to be concerned. As I sat on the couch day after day the holidays came and went. It was very hard not to get depressed being stuck at home. Brian and I agreed on the name Julia Marie. I knew the sex of my baby so I could start my registry on line. This definitely helped me pass the time. Julia has been doing well and I have been more excited than ever about holding my baby girl. Although things were looking up another disappointment was just around the corner. I went for my weekly check up and my doctor told me that Julia is very small she said she is only in the 8th percentile. More specialists for me. My last ultrasound showed that she had gained 2oz. As of today I am 8 months pregnant. Julia may be small 3lbs 9oz but she is very active. I have not heard anything else from the doctor regarding her size. No news is good news, right? Hopefully the rest of this pregnancy will go smoothly and soon enough I will be holding my sweet little girl!
