Some breastfed babies never need to burp, while others do. You’ll learn about what works for your baby by trying to burp her after feedings and seeing what happens. Do you rarely get a burp up? If so, no need to keep trying. Is your baby fussy unless you burp her? Then it’s probably best to make a habit of it. If baby is asleep at the end of a feeding, don’t wake her by burping. If she really needs to burp, she’ll wake up and let you know.
