A mattress specifically designed for co-sleeping? It’s simultaneously raising eyebrows and drawing praise, depending on where parents stand on the divisive issue of bedsharing.

While co-sleeping is discouraged by the American Academy of Pediatrics, many families do swear by it. And at the request of a mother five years ago, The Ace Collection designed the Ace Family Size mattress as a family sleeping solution. Recently, they’ve been sharing plenty of photos of the bed on their Facebook page.

This sucker is 144 inches wide and 90 inches long. (A king size bed is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long.) But all that space comes at a cost; it starts at $2,750. Plus, why pay that price when you can just DIY? This IKEA bed hack is one mom’s way of fitting a family of seven into one sleep space.
