We have diaper vending machines. We have diaper bags for dudes. But rarely do we have diaper changing stations in men's bathrooms. And Ashton Kutcher isn't happy about it.
Kutcher vented his frustration on Facebook this past Sunday.
To be fair, getting a shout out on Kutcher's Facebook page isn't particularly difficult. (The man's a chronic over-sharer.) But this is a noble cause — enough to warrant over 200,000 likes and over 8,400 comments. Facebook users commented with plenty of suggestions of places he could take Wyatt Isabelle, born in October, for a diaper change. And others chimed in with shared frustration.
"Changing tables in both sex bathrooms should be mandatory just like a handicap bathroom. Business are excluding an entire portion of the population when them don't have them," writes one user.
"Can't count the number of times my husband took one of our kids into a public restroom, only to come back and pass them to me because there wasn't a changing table. Dads want to be dads, why not provide them the same opportunities?" says another.
Diaper changing is actually one of the actor's hidden talents, according to Mila Kunis. "The second she was born he changed the first diaper," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "And has changed multiple diapers ever since. If he's home he changes the diaper. He became a master swaddler. He can swaddle anyone's baby."
If only more public restrooms gave him an outlet to showcase his talents.
