As you’ve certainly heard, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are finally the proud parents of a baby girl after welcoming daughter daughter Luna Simone on Thursday. Teigen broke the news on Instagram yesterday, while Legend chimed in on Twitter, writing, “Our new love is here” and “We couldn’t be happier!”

Soon after, Teigen had a few Twitter announcements of her own.

“To everyone asking, John is healing perfectly,” she joked, following up with some (slightly) more serious sentiments:

“Thank you for all the well wishes! We are so happy and excited. I dunno what to Tweet now. Does my Twitter change? This is so awkward.”

This levity is exactly what we expected from Teigen, who, while a frequent poster of her humorous musings, previously stated she won’t be plastering baby photos all over social media.

“I am 1,000 percent not going to have an Instagram account for my baby,” Teigen told DuJour before she was even expecting. “It will not have a hashtag. If I have a hashtag for my baby, just kill me.”

And that’s not the only one of our Chrissy Teigen pregnancy predictions that came true.

A girl? Check.

She and Legend will be extra touchy-feely? Check.

Belly rubbing? See above.

Whether or not Tyra Banks is the godmother, as we speculated, is still TBD. Both Banks and Teigen opened up about infertility on the now-cancelled FABlife talk show last September. Shortly after this episode, we learned Teigen conceived with the help of IVF, and Banks welcomed a son via surrogate.

Both ladies are important reminders that when it comes to starting a family, where there’s a will, there’s a way. We’re glad to see happy resolutions all around.
