Zane Kahin is the winner of Gerber’s 11th annual Photo Search and will serve as the 2021 spokesbaby for Gerber, as well as the company’s first-ever Chief Growing Officer, an honorary title on the company’s executive committee.

Zane, who’s birthday falls on February 3, hails from Winter Park, Florida and won the judges over with his smile, giggles and cheerful attitude. He loves bonding with his dogs Rexy and Liv and spending the day in his bouncer. According to the company, his family’s story of perseverance represents what unites all parents and drives Gerber’s mission: the promise to do anything for baby.

“Zane is our little comedian—he loves to crack himself up and even wakes up laughing,” Erin Kahin, Zane’s mother, said in a news release. “On February 3, 2021, our shining light Zane came into our lives, beating all odds. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 27 years old and a newly single woman, my doctors were unsure how the impact of chemotherapy, radiation and a double mastectomy would impact my ability to have children. After getting married to my husband over a year ago, we surprisingly conceived naturally and had a near perfect pregnancy. Our family continues to enjoy every moment and look at life with appreciation and a sense of humor.”

“Photo Search is a moment that brings families together in celebration year after year, and the Gerber family is delighted to welcome Zane as this year’s Gerber Spokesbaby and first-ever Chief Growing Officer,” Mohini Joshi, Vice President of Marketing at Gerber, also said in the release. “By recognizing that every baby is a Gerber baby, we celebrate the diversity of families—whether that’s where we’re from, who our parents are or the circumstances in which baby came into the world.”

Photo Search was first launched in 2010 and was inspired by the many photos Gerber received over the years from parents who wanted to see their baby in Gerber’s iconic logo. As the 2021 spokebaby and first CGO, Zane will have the opportunity to serve as the official Chief Taste Tester for new baby food products, give the Gerber executive team “advice” and guest star as Gerber CEO for a day. As the 2021 Gerber spokesbaby, Zane will also be featured in the company’s social and marketing campaigns during the year. Plus, he and his family were awarded a $25,000 cash prize, free Gerber product for up to one year, and a CGO wardrobe valued at $1,000 provided by Gerber Childrenswear. For a limited time, the CGO bodysuits and t-shirts designed in Zane’s honor are available for purchase from Gerber Childrenswear. For every purchase, Gerber Childrenswear will donate to Delivering Good, an organization that works to provide product donations to babies in need.
