Newborn Road Trips Across the US to Hit Every State Before First Birthday

Harper Yeats is just a few states shy of accomplishing what many attempt to complete in a lifetime. The baby girl is on schedule to travel to all 50 states before she turns 6 months old, making her the youngest person to join the “All 50 States Club.”

Australian couple Cindy Lim and Tristan Yeats, parents to the adorable little girl, currently live in Canada and are travelers themselves. After Lim gave birth to Harper in April, the pair decided to hit the road with their baby. And we’re not talking your weekend trip to grandma’s house.

“We are back on the road… And this time with our new little, Harper Yeats. We are taking a family gap year and spending the rest of 2018 road-tripping the US. Join us as we try to hit all 50 states,” the couple explained on their joint Instagram account.

The parents created an Instagram for their daughter and began capturing moments from the road trip state-by-state. The first stop: Maine. The milestone marked Harper’s first US state, as well as her first international visit. Sleepy Harper posed in front of Maine’s welcome sign to officially kick off her adventure.

“We crossed the Canada/US border earlier today, marking my very first international trip as well as my first US state. I want to be the youngest person to become a member of the All Fifty States Club by visiting all 50 states of the US before the end of the year. Here I go, 1 down, 49 to go,” Harper’s caption adorably explains.

As the road trip continues to unfold, the family of three has been exploring new places and making memories they’ll cherish forever. Their quick stay in Massachusetts was met with tours, food and fun.

The family made their way to West Virginia in July, where the newborn was sporting a fresh outfit and trendy shades.

At 13 weeks old, Harper stopped by the Sunshine State and had her first swim in a pool.

“Colorful Colorado” was the halfway point on their trip. “This is the face you make when your daddy tells you there’s still 25 states to visit before the end of the year. I’m sorry—did you say 25?! But I just did 25,” the baby’s Instagram jokes.

21-week-old Harper was nothing but smiles posing in Idaho.
