Everything about having a baby should, theoretically, make your relationship stronger. This tiny human came from both of you! But infants require all of your attention. And kids? Their schedules become your schedules. The first three years of raising a child are tough on your relationship with your partner; it’s when marriages see the biggest dip in satisfaction. We have something in mind to help.

A brand new app called Lasting is designed to be like marriage counseling, on your own terms. After surveying thousands of couples and hundreds of parents, the team behind the app found only 13 percent of parents would says they’re happy with how much time they spend together as a couple. So use the five minutes each app session takes to reconnect! Here’s how it works:

  • After you take an assessment, Lasting will recommend focus areas for you to work on, like communication or sex.
  • Want to tackle even more together, like learning the best way to deal with conflict? You’re also free to select whatever topics you want.
  • Take quizzes, follow exercises and read plenty of insights from real marriages to proactively strengthen your relationship.

Only a quarter of married parents can attest to prioritizing the friendship between them after their kids were born. And as a result, only a quarter think their partner does a good job of responding to their emotional needs. The good news? By setting aside a few minutes a day, you can make your marriage stronger than ever.
