We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: Moms are superheroes.

Restaurant patron Kelly Gentry snapped a picture of a waitress who was working a shift while babywearing her child. The picture captured the attention of people nationwide who tipped their hat to this multitasking mama.

“I don’t know who she is, but she waitresses at Greenback Diner. She’s dedicated [and] she has busted her butt with her child strapped to her,” Gentry marvels. “Shout out to this awesome mom doing what it takes to make ends meet, and shout out to her work for allowing her to bring him…She deserves to go viral.”

And the working mom did just that.

Since the post went up, the woman in the picture has been identified as Kori Dotson, who decided to take her son to work when she was in a squeeze and couldn’t find a babysitter.

“That Tuesday, the town of Greenback had experienced a major power outage and the diner was swamped. I had to work an extra shift, but my babysitter wasn’t home, so I asked my boss if I could bring my son, Rhody, and she said yes,” Dotson tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

Lucky for Dotson, her boss knows where the mom is coming from. “My boss is amazing—she’s a mom herself, so she understands these types of situations,” the waitress explains.

In addition to working as a waitress at the diner, the Tennessee mother is also a registered respiratory therapist, Yahoo Style reports. She believes the picture Gentry posted resonates with working parents everywhere—no matter what job they may hold.
