Football Goes Family-Friendly: Introducing the NFL Newborn Fan Club
The newest generation of football fans is getting a lot more official. Today, the NFL is launching its Newborn Fan Club, so parents can show off their pint-sized Packers, teensy Titans or baby Buccaneers (you get the idea) from day one.
Fans can join for free at NFL.com/NewbornFanClub, where they can select any of the 32 teams for team-specific content. Open to the idea of your baby being a free agent? Select “No Team” for general franchise fun.
After registering, babies will receive digital birth certificates, honoring them as the newest team rookie of the year or NFL fan. And they’ll also secure their first 15 seconds of fame, earning their names a spot on their team’s jumbotron.
A few other perks:
- Discounts throughout the year at the NFL Shop
- Discounts on Pampers products
- Sweepstakes entry to win free baby apparel from Gerber Childrenswear
- Bi-annual newsletters containing NFL and team news and events, NFL digital content and parenting tips from Pampers
This initiative is a continuation of the NFL’s “Football is Family” mission, which has been a prominent theme for about a year now. Last Mother’s Day, we saw moms of NFL players offer emotional, congratulatory words to their sons. And during Super Bowl 50, we heard from generations of fans who may just have been conceived during the frenzy of their teams’ big wins.
All joking—and crooning from Seal—aside, these initiatives are reminders of the unique sense of community sports provide. Bringing that sense of pride and belonging to the family level? Even better.
