Throw whatever you thought you knew about singer Fergie on out the window because the pregnant star has some confessions of her own to make.
While on Good Morning America, the expectant mom said, "I know that my husband told everybody what I said. My quote when we found out — 'This blank just got real.' But it's true, when that moment occurs to you, there's going to be a human being growing inside of you... it's reality. It's amazing, we're thrilled." And while you might have gone with some other wording, I think that a lot of moms (and moms-to-be!) can pick up what Ferg's putting down. That moment — that intense, profound, amazing, unbelievable moment — when you find out that there's a future person growing inside you is incredible... and also incredibly real.
The first-time mom told the GMA cast that she did experience a "little bit" of morning sickness early on in her first trimester, but now admits that she's feeling "great." And we're glad to hear it!
Nothing against all the other sweet confessions the pregnant star made on the televised segment, but there was one moment that was our absolute favorite. She said, "I have no idea what I'm doing! I'm just going to play it by ear and see how things go, and let the natural instincts kick in."
Can we go ahead and give Fergie a pat on the back for admitting how every parent-to-be feels before baby's arrival? No matter how many books you read, no matter how many doctors you visit, no matter how many times you make a plan — nothing prepares you better for parenthood than letting the natural instincts take over! Kudos for Fergie for taking the non-traditional route and admitting her motherhood fears are so much like every other woman out there.
Did you feel prepared before baby came?
