On Tuesday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada recalled over 85,000 Graco Classic Wood Highchairs. The recall comes after a series of reports of babies falling from the seat after it loosened and detached from the base, resulting in bumps, bruises and scratches.
The recalled high chairs were sold at Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory and other retail stores nationwide, as well as Target.com, Walmart.com and other online retailers between September 2007 and December 2010 for about $130
The recalled chair has a top seat, bottom leg assembly and removable tray, and was sold with a beige fabric seat cover. The model number is printed on a label on the underside of the seat assembly. The following numbers are included in the recall:
