Wouldn't be 2014 if we didn't start the year off with a recall now, would it? The CPSC, in conjunction with Joovy, has announced a voluntary recall on more than 1,500 Zoom car seat adapters due to a fall hazard. The adapter clips can loosen on the stroller frame, which puts babies at risk of falling out of their car seat. So far, Joovy and CPSC have received nine reports of incidents that involved a loosening frame, but no injuries have been reported.
The recall includes all Joovy's Zoom gray metal car seat stroller adapters. they're gray with black plastic clips and they're designed to attach the infant car seats to the stroller frame. The recalled model numbers include: 00945 for Graco , 0094** 6 for Chicco and 00947** for Peg Perego frames. The name "Joovy" and the model numbers of the adapters can be found on the center of the end of the bar adapter.
If you own the adapter, stop using it immediately and contact Joovy online or by telphone at (855) 251-0759 for a free repair kit. For more information, visit Joovy.com, click on Recall Information to get up-to-the-minute details.
