Target's Popular Car Seat Trade-In Program Is Back
Target’s popular semi-annual car seat trade-in program is back!
April 14-27, the retail giant is accepting old car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target’s partner, Waste Management.
In order to trade in their car seat, guests must be enrolled in Target Circle. Then, all you have to do is head to your local Target store, drop it off at one of the boxes located near Guest Services and scan the QR code into the Circle app using their cellphone.
Anyone who trades in their old car seat will be given a 20 percent off coupon to use towards a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear, including playards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers. This coupon can be applied twice to both in-store and online purchases until May 11.
Target first rolled out the program in April 2016 and has recycled nearly 2.6 million car seats or 39 million pounds of car seat material since.
