Most Relatable Halloween Costume Goes to 'Tired Mom,' Age 7
Move over, pint-sized zombies and ghosts. There’s one mom-approved Halloween costume that’s even more scary—scary accurate, that is.
Indiana native Lainie Griffin, 7, dressed up as a tired mom this Halloween with a costume that’s pretty realistic. Disheveled hair tossed back into a ponytail? Check. Dark circles under the eyes? Check. A milk-stained hoodie paired with a pair of flip-flops? Check and check. Complete with two baby dolls and an expression that screams “I need a vacation,” Lainie nailed her costume.
Making sure Lainie’s costume didn’t go unnoticed, family friend Rachael Beachy shared a photo of Griffin’s costume on Facebook, which has since gone viral.
“I’m dead! This is the best costume I’ve ever seen!” she writes in the caption of the photo.
Garnering almost 190,000 reactions and 23,000 comments, Lainie won the hearts of moms everywhere who praised her costume for its realistic portrayal.
“The only thing this little momma is missing are mom jeans!” one user writes.
“This is great! I can so relate!” writes another.
Lainie’s mom, Jess Griffin, credits this brilliant idea to Lainie herself. While mom added in the dark circles and milk stains, Lainie came up with the concept and picked out her own clothes. Ironically, despite all the attention the photo’s received, Griffin says that Lainie is the most shy of her five children.
“Her personality is not this,” she tells ABC News affiliate WATE TV.
