Another recall from Tommee Tippee today. Just a week after recalling 3 million sippy cups because mold can build up within the valve, the brand is pulling one of its electric bottle and food warmers off the shelves. A manufacturing issue may stop the overheating prevention features from kicking in, posing a fire hazard.

Warmers sold in the US, Canada and Mexico are affected. While Tommee Tippee makes two different warmers, only units with a “UL” logo and a batch code beginning with a number and ending with the letters “GY” are a part of this recall. Check the base of the product for these codes.

If you have this warmer—which is sold on its own and in a number of Tommee Tippee starter kits—unplug it immediately and fill out this form for a free replacement from Tommee Tippee. In an effort not to leave parents hanging in the meantime, the brand is sharing step-by-step instructions for making a bottle without the warmer.
