Kelly Clarkson is officially a proud mama, y'all! The country singer and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, welcomed their little girl into the world on June 12.
Kelly, who's never coy with her baby-related news, tweeted everything we wanted to know: "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)."
Maybe Kelly and Brandon's Texas roots and down-to-earth personalities gave way to the rustic nature-inspired name. Although, Kelly did tell Ellen DeGeneres that she and Brandon chose a gender neutral name early on, with the middle name chosen for a girl. “You won’t guess it. It’s a random name. But it’s not like… ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name," she said.
No pictures of little River Rose have been released yet, but since Kelly opened up about her desire to have babies, morning sickness and her baby's gender early on, we hope we'll be seeing a photo of her soon! Maybe a lullaby album will be soon to follow.
