May way for another royal baby! This morning, Zara Tindall (famously known as Zara Phillips, Prince William's cousin) announced that she and her husband, Mike Tindall, are expecting their first child together!
Due in 2014, a statement to the press on behalf of the Queen's press secretary read, "Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the New Year. The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news." And so are we! The Queen's granddaughter (and Olympic equestrian!) and her husband have been married for two years.
While the world readies for Kate and Prince William's royal lady (or lad), the celebrations continue to roll in for the entire Royal Family. Zara and Mike's baby will be the third grandchild for Princess Anne (the Queen's daughter). She already has two granddaughters, Savannah and Isla, who are the daughters of Peter Phillips (Zara's brother) and his wife, Autumn. Zara's child will be the fourth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth — she's already great-grandmum to Peter's children and once the Will's child arrives (any day now!), she'll be a celebrated great-grandmum again!
