Metztli

Metztli is a gender-neutral name of Aztec origin, belonging to the Aztec deity of the moon, night, and farmers. It’s unclear whether Metztli was a god or goddess, and some sources suggest they are the same being as the moon goddess Yohaulticetl and the moon god Tecciztecatl. In Aztec legend, the sun and moon were once equally bright.
