Q&A: Breastfeeding With IBS?
I've recently been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Can I keep breastfeeding with IBS?
Your IBS won’t hurt baby, but you’ll need to make sure your doctor and pharmacist know you’re breastfeeding before you start any prescription or over-the-counter meds (the same goes for natural remedies). Some IBS medications are considered safe for breastfeeding moms, others aren’t.
