Kirk

Kirk is a boy’s name of Old Norse origin, kirkja, meaning “church.” It’s also the word for “church” in Scots, where the Scottish national church is informally referred to as The Kirk. Gilmore Girls fans will be reminded of the eccentric but much-loved character Kirk Gleason, one of the many quirky townspeople in Stars Hollow. With his sweet nature and enterprising spirit, he makes a worthy namesake for baby.
