Shyanna

Shyanna is a variant of Cheyenne, which is a gender-neutral name of Sioux Dakota origin. It derives from the word šahíyena, literally translating to “red speak,” and was the name given by the Dakota to the Cheyenne tribe. To the Dakota, the Algonquian-based language of the Cheyenne was unintelligible, hence the name “red speak” or “to speak incoherently.” This beautiful name has many variants, including Shianne, Shyanne, Shaienne, Shai’enne, Cheyanne, and more. Shyanna adds an extra “a” to the end of the name, giving it a unique twist.
