My cutest confession is that my kids have a pretty solid vocabulary, but every now and then—when they say words with a distinctly kiddy view—we don’t correct them. “Waps” and “flutterflies” are probably my favorites so far.

Gabrielle Bennett

Senior Content Specialist

At The Bump, Gabrielle is responsible for all things baby names. She is a senior content specialist focused on writing and researching the topics beloved by parents all over and reflected in their baby name choices. She has always had a penchant for research and acclimatization to new subjects, giving her a much-needed edge when tackling the gargantuan task of finding names for parents of all interests and backgrounds! When baby names aren’t on the brain, Gabrielle is likely playing video games with the bubs or going hiking.

Education
Before earning a Master’s of literature and publishing at the University of Galway in Ireland, Gabrielle worked and trained as an opera singer. She studied classical performance and earned her Bachelor’s of performance in music from West Liberty University in West Virginia. But her pursuit of knowledge hasn’t stopped and never will, as showcased by her certificates in Narrative Design in Video Games and teaching English as a foreign language, with various video and audio editing projects in the pipeline.

Experience
Before this role, Gabrielle worked as a content editor, writer, music teacher, and performer. She lived and worked on her performance career primarily during her time in the United States. But that performance focus took her overseas to Ireland, where she fell in love with the country—and a person. After moving to Galway, Ireland, Gabrielle sought musical and, eventually, writing and editing opportunities in the land of saints and scholars, and she hasn’t looked back. She joined The Bump team in Galway in 2021 and has learned more than she ever thought possible since!
