I strive to have the confidence my kids have doing anything and everything—making new friends, trying new things, singing at the top of their lungs in public. Any time I’m feeling nervous or experiencing imposter syndrome, I try to channel their unjaded positivity and courage. (And then I remember that maybe, just maybe, I’m doing something right.)

Lauren Barth

Associate Content Director, Lifecycle

Lauren Barth is the associate content director for lifecycle at The Bump, where she develops, writes and edits pregnancy, parenting and wellness content. With over 15 years of experience in the lifestyle-meets-parenting digital space, Lauren is passionate about educating and empowering those in the throes of raising small but opinionated humans. She finds inspiration—and learns something new!—every day as her own three little people test boundaries, push buttons and charm their way into getting exactly what they want.

Education
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University in New York.

Experience
Lauren started her editorial career at Mode Media’s Glam.com, a lifestyle destination for women, where she led the entertainment and travel verticals—which meant she became very familiar with the less-than-glamorous side of red-carpet reporting and the way-more-glittery appeal of cross-continental press trips. After a few years on the job, she swapped out celebrity interviews and hotel hopping to launch the company’s first parenting site, Tend.com. Next, Lauren took her skills to a boutique influencer marketing, social media and content-creation agency, where she served as managing editor for their parent-centric flagship site, Momtrends.com. Fast-forward to 2021, and Lauren joined The Bump, where she continues to do what she loves: help parents find solutions and support.
