Martina Garvey is a senior editor at The Bump, where she writes and edits e-commerce content for pregnancy, postpartum and parenting. Over a nine plus year career in educational publishing and digital media, Martina has developed a keen eye for detail and robust reporting skills. As a staff member on The Bump for five years, she leverages an in-depth knowledge of pregnancy must haves and baby gear to create informative shopping guides parents can trust.

Education Martina earned her Master's degree in literature and publishing at University of Galway in Galway, Ireland. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Galway.

Experience After a number of internships—including stints at ROADS publishing and the International Fund for Agricultural Development—Martina started her editorial career at The Educational Company of Ireland. During her time in the educational publishing sector, Martina worked on schoolbooks and developed digital content and resources for children and adolescents. In 2020, Martina was ready for a change of pace and made the move to The Bump. Since joining the team, Martina has written countless articles designed to inform and support young families on throughout their parenting journey.
