Constanța

Constanța is a girl’s name of Romanian origin, meaning “constant” or “steadfast.” Coming from the late Latin name Constans or Constance, Constanța has the history of the Roman Empire written all over it. Constanța is also the name of the oldest city in Romania, historically known as Tomis but later renamed after the half-sister of Constantine the Great. Given that so many pieces of the past are still present in this ancient city’s architecture, a name as unchanging in meaning as Constanța just makes sense!
