Phenice

Phenice is a girl’s name of Greek origin, meaning “dark red.” Taken from the Greek name Phoenix, Phenice has legend and lore running through its letters. In ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, the phoenix is a sacred creature worshipped for its immortality. Every 500 years or so, the phoenix burns its nest, birthing a new successor from the soot and cinders. But with Phenice around to break new ground, maybe the moniker of this mythical bird is being reborn, too.
