Vidar

Vidar is a masculine name for strengthening baby's Old Norse roots. Rooted in Víðarr, it combines the elements víðr and arr, or "forest warrior." Vidar also means "warrior of the woods" or "the quiet god," after the mythological son of Odin. The story tells of young and mute Vidar, who avenges his father's death by slaying the monstrous Fenrir wolf. Needless to say, if troubles arise, your Vidar won't leaf you hanging!
