This Disney Princess Newborn Photo Shoot Is Pure Magic
We all want to be treated like royalty, but six newborns got the ultimate treatment with a Disney princess-themed photo shoot.
California photographer and mom-of-three Karen Marie Hourscht is responsible for the magical series. After the massive success of her first Disney newborn shoot in July, Hourscht decided to expand beyond the classic cast of characters like Cinderella and Belle. Her most recent shoot features Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Eleanor of Avalor, Tiana from Princess and the Frog, and Rapunzel from Tangled.

“Disney has always been a big part of my life,” Hourscht tells The Bump. “The amazing tales of love and heroism have always been an inspiration to me and now I see them inspiring my girls.”
To bring her vision to life, Hourscht teamed up with Sew Trendy Accessories and Wooly Dreams to create the princess costumes and sets, respectively, and enlisted the help of her daughter, making the project a family affair.
“My daughter helped with making a glass case to contain the famous red rose from Beauty and the Beast,” says Hourscht. “I love the fact I used something my teenager made!”
As you can imagine, working with newborns can be a challenge, but the end result was worth it.
“The parents loved their images and have been excited seeing them online,” says Hourscht.
We have no doubt that these families view Hourscht as their babies’ real life Fairy Godmother.
