We’re calling it now: 3-year-old Ayaan will change the world someday. And when that happens, he’ll have his incredible parents to thank for teaching him some killer daily affirmations to remind himself just how capable he is.

“I am smart. I am blessed. I can do anything!” the unbelievably cute toddler can be seen repeating in the video his mom Alissa captured on their morning walk to school.

She probably had no idea that the video of her little man reciting those three heart-warming sentences would go viral, but that’s exactly what happened after she shared the clip on Instagram.

She taught Ayaan the simple phrases a year ago in the hopes they would help him later on in his life. So she was tickled when, last week, while walking in New York City where the family lives, he suddenly felt inspired to start reciting them. “I taught Ayaan this positive affirmation on his 2nd birthday last year in hopes that he would one day memorize it, understand it, and use it as a motivational tool whenever he needed it,” Alissa wrote in the accompanying caption. “Well, he shocked me this morning. Out of nowhere he started repeating it, so I pulled out my phone.”

Alissa shared that Ayaan continued saying his affirmations again and again until they reached their final destination. And you can see this in the video; near the end of the clip, he definitely recites the last “I can do anything” with extra gusto.

“Yay!” Alissa is heard saying on the video. “Good job. We made it.”

To which Ayaan responds with a very self-assured, “Yes we did.”

Seriously, is there anything cuter?

“So proud of the little boy he is growing into,” Alissa finished the caption.

Unsurprisingly, Instagram is loving the video. It racked up hundreds of thousands of views, with many commenters weighing in to praise Alissa for her parenting style.

“This is so beautiful,” one person wrote. “Thank you for sharing it and for teaching your son the power of self-love and positivity. I can only imagine the kind of impact he’ll have on the world.”

“What a beautiful little boy!” said another.” He has a very bright future ahead of him! Mom, you are doing an amazing job!”

“This speaks volumes,” added a third.

“I think this is my fav video on the internet,” a fourth person chimed in. (Which, same.)

In a follow-up post, Alissa appeared to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support their family has received since the video of Ayaan went viral.

“Ayaan’s father @adhonline and I are so grateful,” she wrote. “Ayaan of course has no idea that he has gone viral LOL! but he feels the love as we show him the videos of himself on various platforms and he listens to what has been said about him. I am in awe, that one candid moment could touch the world in such a huge way.”

This heartwarming moment reminds of us another gone-viral video, in which seven dads wrote words of affirmation for their young daughters, who recited them on camera. Because affirmation and affection can make a world of difference for kids’ self-esteem and empowerment!
