My body seems to have a mind of its own lately. Swollen, bloated, and my pants don’t want to zip or button anymore. Not to mention, whose new set of ta-ta’s are these? People are most likely wondering if I have “let myself go” since my fall wedding or if I've been eating massive quantities of donuts. However, right now isn't the time for me to scream from the mountain tops that I'm expecting. So, what’s a girl to do? Disguise that bump! I recommend making use of your prebaby wardrobe as much as you can. Invest in a Bellaband

This stretchy tube of fabric is not a tube top, dear. This band is intended to smooth and keep pants from bunching when unbuttoned jeans or pants and/or offer more coverage for pants. (Here’s to no thong showing!) You can pick up a Bellaband at maternity retailers all over and they are quite inexpensive and really make your pre-pregnancy clothes stretch further!

Go for dark denim

The first thing to go out the proverbial window for most new moms is their jeans. Let’s face it: we wear jeans quite often and while the belly band can help stretch (literally) you further through your pregnancy, there will be a time that you have to break down and buy some maternity jeans.

Wrap dresses are amazing because they minimize certain “trouble” spots AKA your growing bump and accentuate your assets. They can be dressed down or up and come in a variety of fabrics and prints. Added bonus? They’re perfect for the warmer weather!

Pump up your essentials with a great accessory! Not only can a funky scarf draw attention away from your tummy, but also add some color and depth to your wardrobe. These can be paired with of your staple wardobe pieces to create a great outfit that will help get you through your first trimester without dreaded questions.

Get a comfortable pair of leggings that last

Leggings are like a wrap dress — you can dress them up or down. They are can be paired with a funky sweater or long tunic blouse and heels. Also, leggings are super versatile and come in different prints and colors too. So while you grab a pair of black ones, don’t hesitate to pick up a pop of color or print! Remember to get a quality fabric that has some give and will grow with you.
