Your Baby Is 6 Weeks Old!
What a sucker
Baby’s learning tons of adorable new facial expressions, like pursing her lips, raising her brows, and widening her eyes. The incredible cuteness is just a bonus, though — the really good news about these faces is that they’re her way of communicating in a form other than crying. She’s also discovering how cool it is to have fingers, and might even start sucking them. There’s no reason to worry if she does — at this age, it’s considered a natural method of self-soothing, not a bad habit. (And remember — her ability to self-soothe is directly related to your amount of uninterrupted sleep.)
To-do:
[tip] Gently remind your mother (or mother-in-law) what “the doctor said…” when she starts to get a little too pushy.
