My favorite baby name is Illeana (ill-e-ah-na). It's an Italian derivative of the Greek Ileana, meaning bright or light.

Wyndi Kappes

Associate Editor

Wyndi is an associate editor at The Bump. She uses her passion for keeping up with the latest and greatest stories to create daily news content that informs and inspires parents and parents-to-be. Her goal is to keep readers in the loop when it comes to new health and safety recommendations, the latest trends, and of course, the cutest baby outfits on sale right now. When she's not browsing headlines or writing up her next story, you can find her traveling the world (next up Thailand!) and cementing her role as the "cool aunt" to seven adorable nieces and nephews.

Education
Wyndi earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in public relations from Georgia Southern University. While in college, she worked at a pediatric office and a nonprofit community health clinic, where she learned how to be a medical scribe.

Experience
Wyndi interned at the Georgia Aquarium in the public relations department before discovering her passion for journalism. She started her journalism career as an editorial assistant at Atlanta Best Media, a local magazine publishing company in Atlanta. Over six years, she worked her way up through the company to become the managing editor, proudly overseeing seven local magazines. She was given the opportunity to join The Bump team in May of 2022 and has loved bringing timely news and sales to parents since.
