Bismuth
A gemstone and metal-inspired baby name in one, Bismuth is an unusual gender-neutral moniker with a futuristic vibe. German in origin, Bismuth is the name of a metallic element (Bi) that forms in a trigonal geometric shape when solid. In its pure state, bismuth has a white color, explaining its meaning "white mass" from the German Wismut. But when oxidized, it displays an iridescent rainbow spectrum!
Bismuth has many practical uses, from fire-detecting technology to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals (think Pepto-Bismol). Despite not being a traditional crystal like quartz and its many varieties, bismuth is also valued in spiritual communities. Thanks to its rainbow pattern, bismuth is mostly linked to the Crown Chakra and is said to work wonders in aligning all the chakras. During meditation, bismuth is said to help channel wisdom and spiritual growth and can even connect you to your higher self. As a given name, Bismuth is admittedly cool and fresh, especially for the kiddo who's all biz every day of the week.
