Brittan is a gender-neutral given name and surname of Latin origin. It derives from Brittany, the English name for the region of Bretagne in northwest France, and may mean “from Brittany” or “from Great Britain.” Most commonly referred to as Bretons, many people from Brittany fled to southwest England to escape the Anglo-Saxon invasion in the sixth century.
