Java

Java is a warm and toasty name with gender-neutral usage and a wealth of meaning to explore. Most famously a type of coffee bean grown on its namesake island in Indonesia, Java is primarily of Sanskrit origin but has roots across several Indian languages. Java refers to the coffee bean itself, more accurately translated as "barley grain." In the Shaivism tradition of Hinduism, barley grains are used in the worship of the god Shiva, lending Java an air of sacredness.

Java also translates to "speed," "swift," and "speed of the mind," and can indicate the flight of a bird, fast movement, impulsiveness, or one's depth of consciousness.
